Skoobdo Posted January 5, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2020 By the way, you'll really like it there. Very peaceful and relaxing. They'll serve buffet lunch, 3 bars and have music/dancing/exercising. Lots of beach loungers. Have fun!

They have BBQ chicken, burgers and ribs, yes ribs, both times I've been there.

I just realized that your experience may be different than mine, because I was with a different cruise ship company. So, maybe expect something different from what I described. Artemis Posted January 8, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2020 The Royal Caribbean setup is similar to what Skoobdo described--but no ribs, 😪and not sure about the open flame BBQ! It's a really pleasant beach break from all the big cities...pack some water shoes if you have them. The beach isn't fine sand, more of a sand with small rocks and shells. So it can be tough walking for tenderfoots!

I'm talking about the process in which they cooked the meat, not that you will see them cooking the meat on an open flame, as the entire kitchen is completely enclosed so you can't see it, but you can definitely taste the meat was barbequed and not grilled on a stove top. It was a very welcoming surprise considering I love bbq. And the potato salad was just awesome.
Skoobdo Posted January 20, 2020 #11 Share Posted January 20, 2020 Went to Sir Bani Yas today. 3rd time. Here's a photo of one of the two bbq pits they use.
Skoobdo Posted January 20, 2020 #12 Share Posted January 20, 2020 And here's some miscellaneous photos. You can see the ship tendered in the background on the first photo. MSC Yacht club gets the covered cabanas/loungers. And are escorted around in a golf cart. When I was here this time, the wifi was down. The WiFi password is.... "sbycruisebeach" in case they say it's down and don't supply the password. It still might work for you. For instance, I'm typing this post from my cabin on the ship's WiFi that has been hit or miss, and I haven't sign up for any internet packages. Not sure why it's connecting, but good for me😊
