Explorer disabled cabins

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi

I had an adapted cabin last January as I had broken my leg, was non weight bearing and was on crutches. I found the cabin to be extremely spacious, with enough room for a wheelchair around the bed if needed. My

main concern was the bathroom as I needed a seat and hand rails. The bathroom was a wet room, with a large shower area with no steps or lips on the floor. It was very spacious  and had grab handles around.

I liked the position of the cabin

on Deck 5, which was near to reception. The corridor was nice and wide and spacious, obviously to accommodate a wheelchair/mobility scooter.  In fact we are off next week on Explorer 2 and have booked our cabins on Deck 5 alongside the adapted cabins. Thankfully this year I will not require an adapted cabin.

I would also add that the service I received from the beginning to the end of the cruise was excellent.

Hope this helps.
