Adventure of the Seas Cabin Location Question!

Hello everyone!
My husband I want to book a room on Adventure of the Seas and need a bit of advice.  We plan to do an inside promenade view and our choice is either a 7th floor room where our only choices are connecting rooms or a 6th floor room where we would be above shops. Which would be the better choice if we were concerned about noise while sleeping? We only need one room so that is why we are hesitant to get a connecting room since we don't want to easily hear random people next door. Thoughts?

I would avoid the connecting room.

With a connecting room you can get noise at any time based on your neighbors.  Other promenade view staterooms experience some sounds during parades and the 70's dance party, but those are maybe an hour or so two or three times during the cruise.
