hoho bus tours - Hamburg and Oslo

Hi!

We often enjoy a HOHO bus tour when we travel.  I was wondering if anyone can recommend a tour company in Hamburg and Oslo.  Do they pick up at the cruise dock? Must tickets be purchased ahead of time or can they be obtained at the pier?

Thanks for any information you can share!

There's only one HOHO bus company in Oslo, and they do stop at the primary cruise pier (Akershuskaia). However, I don't really recommend the HOHO bus concept in Oslo. If you want to get off anywhere, public transit is far more convenient, since most of the buses and trams run 3-4 times more often than the HOHO bus. Additionally, much of central Oslo is closed to car traffic and accessible on foot or by public transit only, so there's a limited amount to see from the bus itself.

Yes, we looked into the HOHO in Oslo but ended up on public transit, which was included in the Oslo Pass and worked really well (Google Maps knew the routes and timetables and navigated for us). And yes, it did run more frequently. And included the ferry to Bygdoy.
