Questions from sort of a newbie

Hi!

I haven’t cruised in 6 years and I don’t even remember my last RCI cruise. I’m hoping someone can help me with some questions for my 4/26/20 cruise on Harmony.

How do you get your luggage tags for embarkation? Do they mail it to you?

When is the earliest you can board?

What is your favorite place to get lunch on embarkation day?

Best way to do my time dining? Reservation or walk-in? How soon can you make a reservation and how?

Is Solarium Bistro complimentary for dinner?

Latest time for express departure - self-carry?

For regular disembarkation, can you choose your time?

What is faster: self-carry or regular disembarkation?

TIA!

Gail

When you check in online, you print them right at home - nice and easy!

When is the earliest you can board?

Usually depends on the ship, but 11:00 is usually a good "general" number

Not the Windjammer if possible, but if you get in right when it opens, the crowds aren't terrible - otherwise I would just grab a quick eat from another complimentary restaurant enough to tide me over until dinner

I'd make the reservation, but they are VERY flexible... Royal in general has got to the point where you can almost just show up and they will accommodate you

Is Solarium Bistro complimentary for dinner?

Haven't been on Harmony so I can't say for sure, but when I was on Anthem last year it was

Latest time for express departure - self-carry?

If you self carry you can walk off whenever you like

For regular disembarkation, can you choose your time?

More or less - if when your stateroom attendant delivers your luggage tags, they do not fir your schedule, you can go to Guest Services and get different ones - but be warned, Guest Services is ALWAYS packed on the last night

What is faster: self-carry or regular disembarkation?

Self carry - I do it all the time and wonder why I ever did it the other way haha

TIA!
