kcdd Posted January 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2020 We will be taking the Amtrak to Vancouver in August to board our cruise there. We arrive the day before. Our hotel is somewhat near the Cruise Terminal. What are the options to get from the train station to the hotel? Thank you in advance.

If you walk outside of the train station, look slightly to your left, you'll see the (elevated - hence the name) Skytrain, which is $3.25/ea. About a 100m walk from the front of Pacific Station to Skytrain's Main St Station, which will take you right downtown (and ½ block from Canada Place cruise terminal). Depending on exactly where you're staying, Granville or Burrard stations may be closer to your hotel. If your credit card has tap (not chip, but tap - look for the wireless icon), you don't even need a ticket, just tap on tap off.
MJL Posted January 25, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2020 @scottbee We are doing the reverse and traveling from Vancouver to Seattle or a couple of days. While we could certainly take one of the Thruway buses, would it be better to just enjoy some time in Vancouver and take the Cascade at 5:45 PM? Thanks Mike

I think the train is more relaxing personally, so yes is the basic answer to your question
