Cabin Upgrades

Does MSC offer discounted cabin upgrades prior to the cruise to booked passengers? Also, has anyone gotten a upgrade once they got on the ship? Was it a free upgrade? I will be sailing the Seaside in October.

They offer a system to bid on an upgraded room and, if you are not in the YC, offer to upgrade your experience to YC.

 

That being said, they do drop the price. I am on Seaside in Oct too and the price dropped about $150 from my initial booking. I had to cancel and rebook, but did get the reduced price.

The boat is almost sold out from what I can tell so I don't expect there will be too many upgrade offers or price drops coming. Thanks for the info though.

What date are you sailing in Oct?

 

Sometimes MSC will block off rooms. I know for the Oct 3rd sailing there are still many rooms available.

 

The upgrade offer won't come until about 30 days before you sail...
