Barcelona one night: Tryp Apolo or Hotel Universal

Hey everyone,

 

We are prepping for our Mediterranean cruise in May. We need to book a one night stay pre-cruise in Barcelona.

 

We have a tentative booking at the Tryp Apolo in Barcelona but see many of you have stayed at, and have good things to say about the Hotel Barcelona Universal.

 

They are in similar locations and similar price.

 

Any input is always welcome.

We stayed at the T Apolo last summer.  On previous visits we have stayed at Hotel Jazz and Avenida Palace.  Of those three the T. Apolo would be our third choice.  The hotel itself was good enough.  We liked the other locations near Placa Catalunya better.

Thanks for info. I had a look at Jazz and decided to book that for our night pre cruise.
