miel0630 Posted February 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2006 I know that Delta has recently filed for bankruptcy, and if I remember correctly, I thought that there was one other major airline that has filed recently, too. Does anyone know?

kimberlys Posted February 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2006 and there's a possibility that Northwest might strike. I hope not . . . . or we'll be driving to florida!
LHP Posted February 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2006 are threatening to strike. Even after the newest round of cuts, they are still the second highest paid pilots in the industry. When will we (the flying public) stop allowing these guys to hold us hostage? If pilots want to strike, they should have to give us (the people who have been paying their rich salaries) 90 days notice so that we can cancel our cruises etc if we need to. Their "special skills" are not in demand any longer. There are more pilots than jobs. Hopefully, these pilots (with all their skillful knowledge) are smart enough not to let their unions talk them out of a job. Pilots have every right to strike...but they do not have the right to hold the paying customer hostage.
