nho9504 Posted February 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2020 Hi, I tried to do a search but was not able to find relevant thread(s), may be because I have not been on the cruise critic message board for a long time and no idea on how the "new" site works. Anyway during our previous Princess cruises I remember we could load our casino accounts thru the Slot Machines, and the money is charged to our shipboard accounts without added fee. is this still the case now? My recollection is, both Princess and Holland America have this feature and is free, i.e. no added fee like what Royal and Celebrity would. We just need to remember to clear out any positive balance in our casino accounts on the last night before debarkation. Else the balance would be forfeited. In fact on our Apr 2019 Diamond Princess cruise, the casino staff called twice on the last day to remind us to cash out. Prayers to all of the people are still quarantined on that ship... Does anybody know what is the current practice?
Colo Cruiser Posted February 11, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2020 Yes charged to your stateroom account. Still no added fee.
BigWaveDave87 Posted February 11, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2020 (edited) Yes you can add this to your on board account. Just disembarked from the Royal. DW used the stateroom account to play some slots using the screen on the machine to room. Edited February 11, 2020 by BigWaveDave87
nho9504 Posted February 11, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted February 11, 2020 Great. Thanks for your prompt responses. We will be on the Sky going from Ft. Lauderdale to St. Petersburg, Russia. Praying nothing would derail this because we will use our HKSAR passports for Visa Free entry to Russia while we also hold US passports. Tagged on a different question - I read about people buy OBCs precruise, but when I check My Booking, all I see the option is to prepay gratuity, no option for stand alone shipboard credit to buy ahead? Would like to use our AMEX cards for this because of the AMEX offer of $100 statement credit on $500 spend with the Carnival brands.
