spinspokes Posted February 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2020 We have roughly 12 hours to fill in Houston. We have an evening flight on a Monday in April. We will have our 5 year old twins in tow and are looking for ideas to fill the day. Last year we stayed at a hotel but weather was so cool/crummy that outdoor swimming wasn’t really an option. We could do the City Pass and hit NASA and a Zoo, that’s an option. Does anyone know of a great indoor swimming pool at a hotel or park that would be an option? Seems like too much time on our feet to hit a bunch of attractions. Thanks in advance!

There is Schlitterbahn in Galveston. Check their website, though, to be sure they are open on weekdays in April.
aknguyen Posted February 21, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2020 NASA and the zoo are pretty far apart. I'm not sure I'd try to do both in 12 hours. Also, it depends on where you're flying out from. NASA is closer to Hobby (HOU) while the zoo is approximately equidistant from Hobby and Bush (IAH). Schlitterbahn isn't open on Mondays in April so that's not an option. Moody Gardens doesn't have indoor swimming but it would definitely fill up the day.
