coolcruiser777 Posted February 17, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2020 What is the latest possible time you could arrive at the pier for a Royal Princess departure in San Pedro at 4PM? We are looking to do something in Los Angeles the morning of our departure and are wondering how much time we could possibly have.
JF - retired RRT Posted February 17, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2020 Don't forget to factor in LA drive time. I'd be nervous just trying to make it there by 2PM. And, of course, it would depend on where you are in LA when you decide to go to the port. If it were me, I'd plan on going to the farthest attraction that I want to see first and go back toward the port as your tour progresses.
mtnesterz Posted February 17, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2020 (edited) To directly answer your question, call and ask Princess. With current events, you'll likely be on hold awhile. The, "my two cents," answer: We are local and use San Pedro port for cruising. LAX and San Pedro are not too far apart. Los Angeles and Hollywood are quite a ways north from the port area. Even on Saturday, when most Royal cruises embark, there can be traffic. If you're open to a suggestion, transfer to the cruise terminal, check in your luggage, then walk over and tour the Battleship Iowa. Then board stress free and let the fun begin.
