oneworld Posted February 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Do you know if the onboard facilities are open on days when we are in port? For example, the pool?
HeidiHo Posted February 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2006 The pools will be open but not the casino. Not sure about shops and spa. I'm sure someone else will know.
obx_fintoo Posted February 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Pools and spas will be open. Often have fun activities and spa specials during port days. It will depend on where you are and how long you stay as to the casino. On the 4 day Celebration sailing, when in Freeport from 1-7pm the casino is closed. In Nassau, from 7am-midnight, the full casino opens at 7pm but I think slots open earlier. Don't worry, you'll find something to do if you choose to stay on board! Have a great cruise! Sue L Posted February 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Hey, The shops are not open until you are back at sea. I think it has something to do with the duty free status of the shops. (not positive though). Though we have never spent a whole port day on the ship we have come back early and it is one of the few times we have had a choice of chairs by the pool! Cotton Posted February 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2006 I have stayed on the ship when at a certain port....been there twice before and didn't care to get off again. Nice having almost an entire ship by myself.:D The gift shops and casino are closed, but it's nice having a pool to yourself! Yes, there are some 'spa specials' when at a port.
