Our total price dropped....question, where is the difference?

Hi,

I just happened to call my PVP at the right time, I guess. I did a mock booking the other day, saw a cheaper ( Inside) cabin and emailed him to see if we could switch to that cabin and get the difference ($90) added to our already $500 OBC (Casino Rate). He called me back and said he had an even better deal.... a Balcony, and the total was going to be a whopping $860-ish cheaper than our original inside cabin! Huh? That didn't make sense to me, but ok, we'll take it! He said we'll lose our original $500 OBC and have it replaced with just $100 OBC. Ok, still fine with us. So, my question is, where is this $860-ish? Will it get put on on OBC? Or will it get refunded back to my Credit Card? I went onto our Booking Info on the Carnival site, but I don't see it added to our OBC amount. Thank you in advance.

If not paid in full, it should be refunded to your original form of payment.

If you are not paid in full, wouldn’t it just be re-fared and subtracted from the amount still required? No point in refunding something that hadn’t been charged yet 😉

thatswhat I meant.  The price adjustment will show on your balance ( sorry for not being clear.  Refund was not the correct word 🙂 )

If you are paid in full, it will appear as OBC.  In order to see it, log into your cruise manager and click to print documents.  This is the only way that you will see it.  Price adjustment OBC doesn't normally appear on the actual cruise manager.

Last cruise I wad paid in full for 2 cabins.  Called the same day about a price drop in both.

One cabin had the difference refunded to my credit card. The other had obc. The obc appeared on my cruise docs within a few minutes.

I asked later why one went to my credit card but not the other, and it was a complete mystery to the people I spoke with.  Best I could figure is the csr actuary can do it either way, and decided to do one of each.
