Canceled before Carnival relaxed their policy- Coronavirus

Anyone cancel before Carnival relaxed their cancellation  policy for up and coming cruises? We were scheduled for early April cruise and canceled 2/28. Paid in full and  only refunded us 50%. They kept half our money. Reason I gave was fear of Coronavirus. I even asked if I could reschedule the cruise to not lose money and they said no. Days later they are offering this. Has anyone done the same as us?

I’m on hold for over an hour and still not able to contact them to see if they will honor their change in policy with recent events and allow us to take that money they kept and rebook the cruise for next year in April. Has anyone had similar situation and have you called them and had good results with their customer service?

thanks.

Not me personally but somewhere else (not sure if CC or FB) I read someone else say they had the same thing happen to them... they called back and got the Future Cruise Credit.

You are doing the right thing by calling... the worst they can say is no.
