Regal Princess leaving on 3/15

My question is, was it really necessary to cancel yesterdays sailing of the Regal, a crying shame that 3,500 people had their vacation ruined due to basically a false alarm? Couldn't the passengers have been put up in hotels last night and then sailed today?

As for us we are booked on the 3/29 sailing on the Regal, we will make our final decision whether to sail or not on the 19th.

I think they rather be safe than sorry.

However, since this week's cruise has been cancelled, there won't be anyone on board until our cruise on Sunday. Hopefully this boat will be the cleanest it's ever been.

Who else is booked on this cruise and how many of you have canceled or will cancel? I am still planning on going. See you on Sunday!

I see you found your Roll Call -- the appropriate place for sailing-specific questions.
