ayrmuskie Posted March 9, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2020 Regent is offering two incentives for us: 1). if we cancel they will offer us a FCC equal to the value of what we paid. 2). If we keep our booking they will offer a 25 % discount on a future cruise. They have already changed 3 Italian ports to ports in Turkey and Greece. With all the problems in Egypt and Israel, I expect they may remove these ports as well. If so, then why take the cruise because most of the ports that we booked will be gone. I hope that Regent offers full refunds rather than making any more changes to the itinerary.
piscean Posted March 9, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2020 We were on the March 16th cruise which was cancelled, booked over 12 months ago. We were offered a refund and a fcc which we put to this cruise as there is very little left to choose from in 2020 (terms of the offer) . A lot of the cruises were waitlisted. We also have a higher, non refundable deposit here in the UK. I believe this makes a difference to the current bookings. Since booking this second cruise prices have dropped due to cancellation! Changing Italy to Turkey was ok for us but more Greek ports ....??
Johu Posted March 11, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2020 What will happen when we can’t dock in Israel,? skipping that port as well. We are losing more and more interesting ports. Difficult decision if we s should take this cruise. Although Regent is doing its best, these very uncertain times with changes almost daily makes it decision for Regent also very difficult.
