Best Western- Miami Beach

We stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights precruise. This hotel is at about 44 and Collins Ave in Miami Beach.

We knew this was a good distance from So.Beach but we were not looking for a So. Beach hotel but wanted on right on the beach.

This hotel was clean, friendly, rooms were nice and comfortable. We would stay here again. We really enjoyed being right on the beach and the very tropical pool area was a big plus. We could also see the port of Miami from this hotel- the bigger ships anyway...LOL.

There are not too many resturants you need to walk a few blocks, not a problem for us and we did find a nice italian one 3 hotels down. Many of the hotels around there had a resturant in them including the best western- very good club sandwiches.. And there was a Walgreens about 4-blocks for soda and forgotten items.

We paid $139 per night and were happy with what we got.

There are city bus's running all the time to get around town, across the street to head to south beach or bayside and the hotel offered shuttle service to the port that we booked ahead of time, we paid $60 for 8 people and a ton of luggage, we thought a good deal

Also if you want to walk there is a wooden boardwalk behind the hotel that went north and south for a very long way, we saw lots of people walking all the time..

It cost us $35 for 4people to a taxi to get to the hotel from the airport, about

$9 per person, the same price we paid to get from the port to the airport.
