shipcafe Posted February 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2006 Hi Everyone, Has anyone taken the train from Oslo to Bergen? I am planning this excursion for summer and would be interested in any resources that you might have, web sites, reviews, etc. Thanks!
Ine Posted February 7, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2006 I havenot done any trains there myself, but heard they are very reliable and good. It will take some hours between those cities. Anyway, this is the link of the Norwegian Railway: http://www.nsb.no/internet/en/index.jhtml

GramaFran Posted February 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2006 Ine: We are going to be in Amsterdam Aug 30 to Sept 2 taking the Century from there. I have a hard time walking any distance, are there any tours around Amsterdam that will not require a lot of walking. We are staying at the Grand Hotel, K. on Dam Square. As long as I can sit for a moment I can keep walking, like through museums. thanks, Francine
Ine Posted February 10, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Hi Francine, Amsterdam has good public transport that brings you all around the city, either by bus, metro or train. But of course at certain hours of the day it can be crowded. You can buy day-cards for that at the booth at Central Station. Besides you can book excursions, have a look at: http://www.keytours.nl/ They offer various excursion in Amsterdam, and also other parts of NL. This site about Amsterdam gives lots of info: http://www.vvvamsterdam.nl/ If you like to have a nice Dutch meal I can recommend Hotel/Restaurant De Roode Leeuw (Red Lion) 2 minutes from your hotel on Damrak. Please let me know if you need more help about this.
