PVP or Customer Service

I know there are lots of people still waiting for their OBC for cancelled cruises to show up in their new bookings.  For those that have gotten theirs, did you have luck getting someone to take care of it through customer service when your PVP couldn't seem to get it done?

I did mine today. Just called in and was on hold less than 5 mins. Rep who answered put me on hold and called someone else to "release my funds" and then transferred them to my new booking I had a hold on. When I log into my cruise manager the obc doesn't show up but when I pretend to print my documents out my correct obc shows up on the second page of the booking summary at the bottom under the itemized charges box. I would try to print yours and see if it's there.

If your PVP can't get it done, you need a new PVP. Ours had everything set in about 5 minutes.

Yeah that's what we're thinking.  We cancelled our April trip a few weeks before the official email came out but he told us we would still be eligible to get the OBC.  We've called a few times & it's been the same story, "I need to get with supervisor, will take a while."   One of the calls he supposedly got with supervisor we received $100 & said it would take more time to show up.   That's been a few weeks.

Thanks everyone.   Called Carnival direct instead of PVP & spent about 30 min on the phone but they got it taken care of, no problems at all.   Already shows up on our itemized charges.

What's the point in having a PVP if I'm doing all the work 🤔

I had a May 10th cruise cancelled. After reading about PVP's on this site, I googled and found one on Facebook. She has been great. Last week I re-booked the same cruise for 2021. I took FCC and OBC option. When I booked she was able to apply most of the FCC right then. Since I paid the whole cruise with Gift Cards I was expecting a partial refund in Gift Cards, but today all that amount was applied to the new booking and the OBC. I think one of the advantages of a PVP is that you can contact them much easier than Carnival. She works from home all the time. I wonder with shutdowns and distancing, how many people does Carnival have in their call centers?
