Victory-Help for cabins on very front

Has anyone stayed in the cabins on the very front of the boat? The ones I'm questioning is 6204, 6202, 6201, 6203, or 7204, 7202, 7201, 7203. It says on the carnival website that these views are obstructed. I called my PVP and she said they should not be obstructed very much since they are on the front of the ship.

 

Any info or pictures would be greatly appreciated....

I have the same question. I am on the Valor leaving in 18 days. We are in 1001 which is one of the front ones too. I will be glad to let you know when we get back.

I would ask your agent how many carnival cruises she has been on.

 

The cabins on the direct front of the ship are oceanviews. the corner cabins are handicapped cabins so will be a bit bigger then the others. There are no sofas in the corner ones. the corner cabins also have twin beds that can not convert to king size beds.

 

The obstruction is the deck 0outside your window-- it is used by the public. anyone that walks by can look into your cabin. By looking out the window you will not be able to see water below. Keep the curtains closed if you do not want to be seen. You can also use the front of the ship as your own balcony-- it wont be private but it wills erve its purpose

 

We have friends in 7206 on the Liberty next week-- Will post photos of the obstructions

My Parents had cabin 1002 which was right in the front of the ship on deck 10. That is my Dad standing in the very middle of the deck looking forward. Not many people know how to get out onto that deck so for most of your cruise, it won't be very crowded out there.

Here is a photo of my Son trying to look into cabin 1002 from the deck outside. On the outside, the cabin windows are mirrored so people outside can't see anything inside at all. It was sort of funny because once, a crew member was using my parent's window as a mirror to get something out of his tooth. We were all standing right in the window looking out and watching him! Now, at night time you would be able to see inside if there are lights on inside your cabin, however the Captain requests that you keep your curtains closed at night so as not to cast light out over the bridge and make it harder for the Captain to see! ;) Also, it is pretty cool, dark, and windy out on that deck at night so most folks don't venture out there anyway.

Here is another photo of my Dad and Son out on the front deck of the ship (deck 10). Victory was docked in New York City at the time so you can see the skyline in front of the ship. So, yes, the view is slightly obstructed, but I still thought it was an awesome location!

The cabin itself was great! Very nice size. It was a handicapped cabin as my Mom was recovering from recent knee surgery and had some mobility issues. The handicapped bathroom was a Godsend for her!

This is a photo of that deck area that is in front of these cabins. You will have this deck area in front of your window on decks 5 thru 10 (I think the bridge is on deck 8 so no cabins on the front of the ship there). There are doors to this deck area on both sides of the ship right down the hallway from all the cabins at the front of the ship. It is very convenient and usually somewhat unknown for the first part of your cruise. Eventually people figure out how to get out there, but it never truly gets crowded out there. There are no chairs or anything so it doesn't encourage folks to hang out there for long.

This is me and my Dad :D standing in the front deck area. It is a fairly large area, so as you can see, you would not be able to look down and see water from any of the windows of the front cabins because you would have to look all the way across this deck. But, you can look out when the ship is sailing and see water straight out ahead. The best thing about these cabins is you only have to walk a few feet to get out on that deck and the view from the deck is AWESOME!!!!

This isn't my photo and I don't remember where it came from but it gives you a very good perspective of what those front decks look like!

 

 

I hope this helps you visualize the view a little bit better. As I said, these photos are from deck 10 (cabin 1002) but the view and deck situation is the same on all passenger decks in the cabins facing forward. I was on every deck checking it out so I can vouch for that myself! :D

We will be staying in this exact cabin.

 

We leave on our cruise in a week and were a little concerned about the obstructed view in 1002 on deck 10.
