FLL- car rental agencies closest to port....

I have researched this but not being from the area, I am not sure of myself. I have reserved a van from Budget for March 19th. Coming in on a Sunday morning, yes it will be busy. Is it closer to go to Budget on 17th street?, or should we just pick one up at the airport. I realize there isn't much of a distance between either one. Does anyone know if one is busier than the other - don't want to get stuck waiting around for a van. Thanks again.

The airport location will always have plenty of vans available. Will the 17th St location have one availble? The airport location is geared for the volume if theres a crowd, the other location is a small office. I'd go fo the airport location there's not much differance in travel time from the port to either location.

Just in Miami last week, and tried Payless. It was a huge mistake. To make a long story short, they indicated they were also tied in with the Payless Car Rental in FFL. Stay with the majors.. Budge, Hertz, National, Avis. I have never had a bad experience with the big boys. Not an answer to your question, but a point to consider.
