scottsla Posted June 1, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2020 (edited) Sorry if this has been asked and answered (I was not able to find it so feel free to point me at it). Was looking to book holiday cruise for Europe 2022 (we are skipping 2021 and still too much uncertainty) and have been disappointed to find there are no cruises listed on celebrity for Europe 2022, other regions have cruises listed and was wondering when we are likely to see something. We have other plans that we need to arrange so wanted to try and line up the cruise with other travel requirements. Ride-The-Waves Posted June 1, 2020 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2020 Any cruise itinerary for 2021 and later is fantasy on the part of the cruise line. They have no idea regarding changes that need to be made to their ships to meet COVID-19 safety, no concept of what different countries will require to permit guests and crew ashore, little concept of even which ports will be available and permissible port loading (number of ships in port). National health officials are cringing over the thousands and thousands of unverified health of people coming off a cruise ship. All that said itineraries are available since cruise lines have to have something to offer to get bookings - but these are "old" pre-COVID-19 itineraries. Changes will be required as new information is compiled. We have several itineraries that we would like to sail but cannot see placing a deposit on anything at the moment. When schedules begin to appear to accommodate the new realities of cruising and the ports/countries we want to visit (revisit) are available, then maybe we will begin to seriously look at cruising again.
