DEVINA COMING TO PORT CANAVERAL SUMMER 2021

I wish it was a Meraviglia or Seaside class, but this still excites me. I am in Orlando area a lot visiting my best friend, and every trip involves a drive to PC to watch the ships come and go.

MSC Cruises Will Sail from Port Canaveral in 2021

Today, the Swiss-based cruise line also reconfirmed its March – November 2021 program, which will include two new cruise ships currently under construction and a series of new or enriched itineraries and homeports, including a new home for MSC Divina in Central Florida.

New for next summer, the elegant MSC Divina will sail for the first time from Port Canaveral, Florida – a new homeport for MSC Cruises – and offer a mix of 3-, 4- and 7-night cruises departing on Sundays and Thursdays. With this new easily accessible homeport, MSC Cruises’ guests will now have the option of exploring the Orlando area pre- or post-cruise and extending their vacation experience.

MSC is still selling all 2021 Divina sailings from Miami.  Perhaps the article meant Summer of 2022?  I hope they change back the Divina itineraries, the 10/11 night Southern and far Eastern Caribbean versions offered a nice variety against the typical versions by the rest of the US based fleet.  Still waiting on word about US West coast/Alaska....

In time (hopefully), more/newer MSC ships will sail from Port Canaveral. If the Oasis Class can sail out of there, MSC Europa should have no problem.

Divina and Armonia March through October 2021 have been cancelled, new itineraries coming soon.  Divina sailings all being moved to Port Canaveral.

Hate to see it is 3, 4 and 7 day cruises, I love the longer ones and just where do you go for 3 days out of PC?

I'm betting they will emphasize Ocean Cay on these. On a recent conference call, the SVP said they will eventually be coming out with overnights at Ocean Cay. Not sure if she meant for the Divina or the Armonia that is already being pulled from Tampa back to Miami summer of 2021.

I can't wait to see the port fees for that.

Could be why they just came to me this week and said port fees were nearly doubling for one of my groups. Of course they neglected to mention the itinerary change until today.

Wait...I just booked (2 days ago) Divina in Sept 2021 leaving out NY.  Mind you that was after our Oct 2020 Meraviglia cruise from NY to Canada was cancelled.  Did I just book another cancelled cruise?

Sorry, yes.  Those were really nice itineraries, I'm afraid the alternatives are not going to be very good.  They were happy to take that second deposit.

Man that is so shady.  I get that the phone operators might not know what's going on...but our Casino host, who did all the transfer of names and our casino voucher...he is unaware as well?

Perhaps Meraviglia is going to be doing the NYC runs in Fall 2021?

It's scheduled to be in Miami during Fall 2021, so unless they also cancel/move that I doubt it.  Wonder if MSC is just going to be done with NY?  Not worth the trouble

This would actually be even more disappointing then just having some cruises we had booked/cancelled.  My wife will not fly...period.  We are platinum plus on NCL, but after our first MSC Cruise last year, we vowed to only cruise them going forward as it was that good.  If MSC does indeed intend to leave NY, that would put us back on NCL or maybe having to try out Royal or Carnival, neither of which seem as appealing.  This stinks

Yes, I had dates screwed up in my mind.  I too hope they replace the 2021 NYC sailings with something.

ETA:  With Armonia, Divina and Meraviglia in Florida all Summer it doesn't look good, Seashore comes across very late and will not be taking a Northern route.

Just got off the phone with my Casino rep, the one who booked this cruise for me 2 days ago. He swore to me that he had no idea this was occurring and if he did he wouldn’t have booked me on the cruise. He will extend our casino voucher/discount until December 2021. But according to him and the announcement they received....MSC is not intending to sail out of NYC at all in 2021.

Nice to read the Devina will sail out of Port Canaveral next year.

Except for all those people on cancelled sailings out of Miami and NYC.

We were booked on her for June 2021, but I am thrilled by this news! I love sailing from PC, much better than Miami, and as soon as we are able to I will transfer that old booking to one of the new ones. :)

Do you think the itinerary will be similar?
