Where to find summer clothes in the Winter???

We leave in 20 days and I can't find summer clothes anywhere!

They're starting to show up in the catalogs and on the websites. I haven't been shopping in a store recently.

Chadwicks, Blairs, etc has just introduced their summer/spring clothes. New stuff should be in some stores now also.

A lot of our stores here are getting Spring items in already, but I guess because we're in the south and it has been a mild winter. A lot of catalogs are showing up w/Spring and of course ebay has spring year round. :)

You better get busy if you want your items in in 20 days girlie!

I cannot find shorts anywhere. Been to Dillards, Foleys, Kohl's, etc. etc. and just got new Chadwick's and Bedford Fair catalogs - no shorts. I guess I probably have enough to take but really wanted a white pair. Probably when we return from our cruise, they will start appearing everywhere. Then I can get a pair for our "next" cruise - LOL. TG23

Funny thing how areas are different was just in Kohl's today and bought a swimsuit. Funny you're in Texas and your had no shorts. Got to think they'll be there soon!

Yes, I was in Kohl's a few days ago and the only shorts I saw were in the Junior Dept (which I cannot wear even tho I wear a size 8 in misses). In the misses dept. I saw lots of capris and jeans - no shorts. And, it has been soooo warm here in Texas this year (the exception being this coming weekend - LOL). Did not see bathing suits either but did see them in another store but I have plenty of bathing suits. I'll just keep looking for shorts.

I know what you mean HappyCruiser383 - we have such fond memories of all the other ships we have been on. I have my Crocs packed and ready to go so am ready to do some walking. We are really looking forward to the Conquest - only a little over 2 weeks to go!! TG23

Filene's and many of the stores in our local mall are bringing out their spring lines. I just bought a summer skirt & two tops.

 

Not cruising until next December, but I might as well shop.

Just got a nwe Newport News catalog yesterday and it has summer clothes, so does the website. It's not easy but the resort wear is coming out.

Did you check that Dillard's out at Six Flags Mall? It's where they send all of the off season mdse-I've had good luck with finding cruise wear there in the winter.

JC Penny has shorts on their website. They have capris in the store. They have added more each week. If I can't find any by next week end I am going to order off the website. I have lost 20 lbs. since last year and a lot of my shorts are just hanging there- I know, good problem to have but I need a couple pairs that fit correctly!

 

Kohl's and Target have swimsuits in. Newport-news.com has swimsuits as well as Spiegel.com.

If it fits your style...ebay is an option. I love Jams World dresses, but am unwilling to spend $125 a piece for them. Can get new or gently worn on ebay for $10-$20.

If you like your clothes a little edgy and like lots of swimsuits try venus swimwear at venusUSA.com...they have everything from sexy dresses to bikinis/coverups, shoes, shorts, halter tops, jeans, etc. And it's fairly cheap too! Have a wonderful vacation and think of us--I have to wait til November for mine!

CheerBelle Mom - wouldn't it be funny if we knew each other - I live in North Richland Hills, too - LOL. No, I haven't been over there since they moved. I really do need to go as they are usually a season behind in their sales. I always find something but you really have to look carefully. Several years ago I found a navy blue satin formal with a sparkly jacket for $20. A steal!

Victoria's Secret has some really good close out sales on last season's summer clothes, which includes shorts, capris, tank tops, bathing suits, bikinis, sundresses, etc. I ordered a ton of stuff for our upcoming cruise for a very reasonable price.
