Eight ships in town? Toooo many?

We will be back to Cancun, again, in November on the Grandeur of the Seas. There will be eight cruise ships in town that day. What's the 411 on any docks since the storms? Our itin shows we dock in Cozumel. Is that wishful thinking by RCCL? Anyway, with 8 ships there, and most if not all tendering, what kinda zoo will that be in town? And, later, getting back to your ship? Good day to stay on board, or book an RCCL excursion?
