we are going on the voyager in march eastern cruise. do we do the immigration thing each morning before we go in to the port or only once on the first port. we go to nassau, st thomas, then san juan. I think you do it when you get to the first non-us port so that would be nassau then i would not have to do it again. im talking about when you have to stand in the long line with your passport and get the piece of paper before leaving the ship. Thanks

We did Voyager Eastern last February... we had to bring our ID's down to the dining room when we got to St. Thomas before we could leave the ship. Pretty quick, we just had to show them & move on. Only other time was Customs when we got back to Miami.

We have only cruised on Carnival and Princess until next week when we get on the Mariner, but have been to the Eastern Caribbean itineraries 3 times already. You have to show all your identification as a US citizen when you board the ship and each time when we got off the ship at St. Thomas and St. Martin, we just gave them our sign and sail card and they put it in the machine and our picture came up and we were good to go. When you get back on, they use the card again to verify that you are the same person with the face recognition and that's it until you get off the ship back at the port you came from, then you have to go through the identification process again.
