Question about Portafino's

Hello again my wife and I are going on the Jewel in December with 16 total in our party. My question is where, we have so many people can I make reservations ahead for Portafino's and if so how far ahead can I do it and How do I do it.

My understanding is you can not make reservations ahead of time. You need to go there once you board the ship to make the reservations.

You can make reservations the instant you step on board. Just go straight up to Portofino's. The maitre d' will be waiting for you. :D

If you have a concierge level stateroom, they will make reservations before boarding.

17 from our roll call ate together at Chops one evening. I made the reservation within the first hour of boarding the ship. They had to divide us up between two tables, but that was fine. We also had to go at 6pm because that was the only time they would allow that large a group to come. I would assume it would be similar at Portofinos. Good luck!

Make Portofinos reservations are soon as you are on board. I was in a large party (10) and it was handled with ease. OK it was Chops, but same thing, different name. We also had a 7 pm reservation without a problem. This may vary by ship however. It was well worth the extra money we paid.

Mmmm...Portofino's! EXCELLENT!!!! Ate there on the Explorer and it was absolutely heavenly! :)
