Is there a shuttle to Altos de Chavon and/or the marina without the show excursion? I understand the show is very good, but with small children we would just prefer to get off the ship for a couple of hours and explore in a safe area.:)

I understand that there is a free shuttle to both the marina and altos, but do not know if it is provided by each cruiseline or by the dock etc. I just know that on Celebrity there is a free shuttle.

Thanks for your help Phyllis. We will be on Costa Cruiseline, but I haven't been able to get an answer to this in the Costa forum.

That is great to hear -- how did you find out about the shuttle provided by Celebrity? We are sailing on Infinity March 12-19 and I had wanted to go to Altos, but not to the show (like Macy2, I guess.) There is no info on Celebrity's excursions page about any way to get to Altos except to go to the show (at 8 or 9 p.m.!)
