Question regarding charging shipboard expenses

Does anyone know if it is possible to use a debit card on board versus a charge card for onboard purchases. I looked through the brochure and didn't see any info on this (Maybe I just missed it.). Anyway -- If anyone knows, I would appreciate it.

Cheryl,

We just received our tickets a few days ago and I remember reading that Costa will not accept a Debit Card...

So........ I called the credit card company this weekend to make sure my card was still good and infom them that I will be using it outside the US in March.....

Just copied this from the Costa website....

"Costa Cruise Lines accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover for payment of the cruise package. Discover is not accepted for payment of onboard charges."

Hi, Elaine. Thanks so much for the quick reply. I thought I remembered reading that somewhere, but then I couldn't find any info on it. Like you, I'll make sure to get a credit card handy (and calling them about it is an excellent idea as well). Thanks again. Cheryl
