Rose Island Questions

Does anyone know if you have to book Rose Island through a company? Can you just go to the island and snorkel on the reef? If you can just go to the island and snorkel, how would you get there?

Thank you!

You must book a tour to Rose Island. It's a privately owned island, and companies need a permit ($$$) (plus pay per head) for use of the island.

It's a 30 minute Boat ride from downtown. There are plenty of tours that go there. Sea Island, Flying Cloud, Barefoot Cruises, Seahorse and Robinson Crusoe all have daily tours.
