Anyone Else Having Problem Getting a Cancelled Cruise Re-Booked

I am trying to rebook 2 cabins on a cruise that was cancelled.  I have left 2 messages and sent 2 emails to the new PVP we have been given - no response.  So, today I called the 1-800 number and spoke to someone about the issue.  We have had 3 different PVP's assigned to us since March - I know that many left for other jobs which I totally understand.  The lady I spoke to this morning told me she was transferring my call to the PVP we had before this one - okay, I didn't think she was with CCL anymore.  So, after being on hold 5 minutes I get the "due to the large number of calls" message and my wait time would be over 15 minutes.

So, forget it, let me see if I can go back to the email advising the cruise has been cancelled and choose the re-book option.  Then I get an email saying your request has been submitted.  What the heck does that mean?  Will I be getting a call from a PVP?  I thought the whole idea of going online was to save the overworked PVP's some time.  It is beyond aggravating.  I have no problem booking online myself and have done so several times recently, but don't think that's an option with a rebook

If I've left voice mails and sent emails to my PVP starting 8 days ago and haven't received a call back, what the heck????

Anyone else having this problem?  I know that they are probably being bombarded which is why I waited over a week to hear back from the PVP.  I have a great casino deal and have 2 specific cabins that I want to book for next June.  The casino deal won't expire until next month, but there are only 2 scenic ocean view cabins open on the ship and we want those cabins.

Hey I am the OP - and have an update.  Just for the heck of it, called my previous PVP and whatta ya know - she had no idea that they had "reassigned" us and was really PO'd.  So, she took care of everything and we are good to go.  I don't need the wonderful CCL board members help afterall.  You have all been so helpful in the past - appreciate it!!

We were reassigned last year too.  I keep getting emails daily with another pvp's info.  I finally emailed my pvp, he said he heard it was happening a lot no one knew why

I think they are having issues with email as well.  I emailed my PVP for some new bookings, and was surprised I didn't hear from him in a short amount of time, he's very responsive.  I wound up calling me and he apologized several times saying he has no email from me.  Explained they had a previous email issue that was supposed to be "fixed" and it's caused other issues.

So, if you've emailed a PVP and didn't get a response, might want to call.

My PVP called me today to let me know our July 10th cruise was cancelled, She was able to

change everything over to Nov 20 with no problems.

I searched but could not find an answer so maybe you can tell me. When you switched the dates on your cruise was the full amount of your original booking transferred or did Carnival refund the port charges and fees? I’m hoping that they will transfer the entire amount that I paid for my cancelled cruise.  Thanks.
