Are there Formal nights on the Pride of Aloha ???

Yes, there is one night designated as "formal". On our cruise (17-24 Dec. '05) it was Monday (lobster) night. But, the term "formal" has a much different meaning here in the Aloha State. Gents can wear nice slacks and an aloha shirt and ladies are most welcome wearing mu`umu`u.

Until we sail on the Pride of Hawai`i from LA to Honolulu!

All formal nights on NCL ships are OPTIONAL! You do not have to dress up if you don't want to. There will be one optional formal night on the 7 day POA cruises.

When I was on the POA, only about 30% dressed up (and that was everthing from tuxes to suits to shirt & tie. Another 30% were wearing Hawaiian aparel and the remainder were in resort casual. Resort Casual means no jeans, shorts, cut-offs or t-shirts. Most people wore polo shirts and kahkis.

You can dine in any restaurant at any time in resort casual on all NCL ships....the joy of Freestyle.
