Status of Hot Tubs & Open Spa Area on Welcome Back Cruises 2021

I haven’t had this question answered by TellUs yet—has anyone else? There was talk a few weeks ago that you may need to reserve space for the open spa area—hot tub/warm tub/snow grotto/steam room—but no definitive answer. Then, on a picture from the first UK cruise yesterday, I noticed the hot tub on the Acquavit terrace was blocked off.

 

We’ve booked the Sept. 12 Malta/Adriatic cruise on Venus, and one of the things we like to do on sea days is enjoy the hot tubs/warm pool. It would be a shame if that were closed down too!

One of the pax on the initial Venus UK cruise was asked the same question.  They have a limit of 6 people in the spa area or gym.  You have to reserve a spot and receive a 45 minute time slot.  I just asked if the Infinity Pool and hut tub are open yet.

I enjoy the spa a lot. The Snow Grotto is among my favorite. While 45 min is enough for me, I wonder how difficult it will be to reserve a spot.

Unless COVID rules change the process, no reservations required.  I would hope common curtesy will be sufficient to make everyone be safe.

On ocean cruises, The Spa will remain open to all guests by appointment only to ensure proper distancing and all spa staff will wear face masks during treatments.

We know this about spa treatments. I was asking about the free areas. JeriGail answered it through someone on the current UK cruises. We’ll see if it changes for cruises later in the summer/fall.

How about the main pool?  Do we need to make reservation too?  I also enjoyed doing a few laps in late afternoon on days we don't go to the Wintergarden.
