dileep Posted February 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Does anyone know if irons are available in Sky Suites? Or should we plan on taking our own? Thanks in advance None available on the ship in the standard stae rooms; suites may be in the same boat;) . You have to send out laundry for pressing! Lsimon Posted February 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2006 No Irons on, nor allowed on, board. They have "pressing only" rates for valet service.
fun2travel Posted February 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I have always heard no irons are allowed. (fire hazard). We have a small steamer that we take along.
superjerryw Posted February 15, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Irons are not allowed on board as they constitute a fire hazard. Your butler will be more than happy to arrange to have your clothes pressed.
JNLROSE Posted February 15, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2006 The rates for pressing & laundry on X are VERY reasonable. We always use their services!
dkjretired Posted February 15, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2006 to the prices for laundry services aboard the ship. Irons are not permitted as the others have said as a fire hazard. http://www.celebrity.com/beforeyourcruise/faq/home.do;jsessionid=0000yDHzmts_U8WrxA-7g6dZrAm:1028etmk3;jsessionid=0000_Sc9FXjRyjo9ZI0rEZ5-G7a:1028etmk3?faqSubjectName=Ship+and+Stateroom+Details&faqId=566&pagename=faq_answers
BB5953 Posted February 15, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I do not believe they supply irons on the ship. We always bring our mini travel iron for our casual clothing - they are super small, inexpensive and easy to pack. However, if my husbands suit or my dresses need to be done we will send them out. LDeBord Posted February 15, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2006 We take along a small steamer....works perfectly. I also go no where without a bottle of wrinkle reducer. I spray as I hang our clothing up and usually no need for the steamer.
Momto5 Posted February 15, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I searched high and low for this stuff in Canada before I left-no dice. Tried Walgreen's in KW-still nothing. But hanging our clothes in the bathroom while we showered worked like a charm!:D
