Hi from Shy: Maasdam 1-29-06 cruise

He was in line with the waiters when we boarded the ship and I noticed his warm smile right away and said "OH, the famous Shy", and his smile got even bigger. When we finally got settled in the dining room, 3rd night, I found out he was sharing the waiters station back to back with our waiter Win, so I saw a lot of him. Win was a great guy, 9 yrs with HAL and fab in the crew show. Hope John and Julee, our game partners, got back to Illinois safely and Joan and Tom S. are snuggled in Toms river NJ. (Bruce and Joan)? from W&M, Williamsburg were a real inspiration in courage and friendliness and our dining companions, Doug, Rhea and Joe, what can I say? We decided to drive home early because of the cold and skip Williamsburg so we wouldn't have to drive home in the snow. Ken, however took the car out on Sunday 2/12 about 1/2 block from home and smashed it up because of the snow. You never know! Kathi
