wendycook22 Posted June 28, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2021 Hi Everyone, I have a FirstCruise Cert that I applied towards a 2023 cruise sailing. I know have a family member that has become a cruise consultant, that is able to offer me more than the value of the cruise first certificate promotional value. I know that I can't use the promotional value of the certificate with an agent booking. Has anyone had experience with applying the amount paid for the certificate to an agent booked cruise? I just don't want to lose out on the original value I paid. I know it states that it is not valid with agent fares, and it is non refundable, but I wasn't sure if I could just apply the balance paid toward an agent booked cruise. If anyone has nay insight it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
zerooveride Posted June 28, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2021 I just used one for my 12/26 Breakaway sailing with my TA. When it refers to agent fares, it probably means group rates that some TA's offer. Also, I believe that if you cancel and rebook the same ship you loose the extra $150/$250 bonus

Yes, I was aware of losing the promotional value of the cruise certificate if I rebook the same cruise. 🙂
