It was suggested to me as a solo traveler that I tell the maître d' that I was a solo traveler. He put us all at the same table. There were probably only 4 of us total. But I made a friend and we would go and do excursions together. We're still in touch. 

 

It was a big table and every night we changed seats. I found that by having dinner with the same folks every night we got to know each other. Made traveling solo less lonely. I felt missed if I skipped a night.
