Mardi Gras Suite question

What kind of suite? What I’ve found for the Ocean Suite which is the standard suite, it’s just a larger bathroom with a tub vs. a shower. Here’s a floor plan and if you see the bathroom it appears there’s a tub.
I believe in older ships the suites had tubs as well, so I’m guessing that’s the only difference.

I just know that there's not a TV in our bathroom - LOL.

Here's what I found on Carnival about our Excel Presidential Suite (SV):

Bathroom:
  • Walk-in shower and double sinks; attached room with toilet and sink
  • Entry from both the bedroom and living room

It's interesting how the words "deluxe" or "luxury" (etc) are thrown around so much in marketing. Oftentimes it means very little.

Poor guy, you don't even get the "deluxe bathroom." Oh the humanity!

Take them down in the casino and make them pay for only giving you the best suite they have.

Well, if they "gave" it to me, it would be an entirely different story !  😄

My bad. I thought you traded up on a casino free cabin or some such sweetheart deal.

DARN - CC went down during my post... time to retype!

It was a casino booking, as a forward corner excel suite several months back. A couple months later, an aft corner excel suite opened up, so (to the) BACK I went! A couple of months ago one of the two presidential suites opened up, so FORWARD HO! Apparently a lot of people were bailing then (it was looking rather gloomy at that point).

A few weeks ago I noticed that the other presidential suite opened up too. It was gone again in a couple of days.

I know it might not be easy to see from that tiny room layout picture, but the Ocean Suites on Mardi Gras have a large shower, not a tub. That white area is the sink/vanity, the room description even says walk in shower. "two twin beds (convert to king), single sofa bed and one upper pullman. Vanity with illuminated mirror. Separate sitting area with sofa and coffee table. Full deluxe bathroom with walk-in shower. Ample closet space. Private large balcony with patio chairs and table."
