Steven FtL Posted February 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2006 While checking websites for excursions from Puerto Montt, I ran across a company called Tourismo Nuevo Mundo that offers what they call a "canopy adventure" where you "fly" through the tree tops on harnesses. I've heard of similar excursions in Costa Rica, but can't find any reference to this one on the Critics boards. Has anyone heard about this? bec-saba Posted February 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2006 Only recommendation we can give you is the one we did in Jamaica...also a canopy tour...and we absolutely loved it. It's also something that can be done in Costa Rica, and I believe the C.Rica and Jamaica are same company...very safety conscious, clean, wonderful exhilarating experience...but don't know about it in S.America. Hope this helps a bit. Rebecca
Splinter Posted February 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2006 My only hesitation on this would be that the area of Puerto Montt is not tropical area such as you would find in Jamaica or Costa Rica. It is temperate in climate. You might be going through some woods, but it is not jungle. For an adventure trip in that area I would opt instead for a river rafting trip or some hiking.
