Insurance requirement for Galapagos

My understanding is that in order to travel to the Galapagos that we need to provide proof of travel and medical insurance.  Did Celebrity provide any information on this requirement?  Any guidance or suggestions people can provide on insurance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks - Maureen

My travel agent told me I needed it because it is a requirement but also because …if you have a medical emergency you really need a policy that covers a flight to a good hospital somewhere. I read on another blog somewhere that no one asked to see their proof. I have used Allianz mostly to buy travel insurance. You can easily get a quote online. That is who I am going to use. I’m not traveling until July of 2023 but will most likely buy it soon since it is too late to buy it if you have a medical condition that comes up later…then it is pre-existing. At least that is how it was explained to me.
