PHILnTina Posted February 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2006 I heard that alcoholic beverages onboard were pretty pricey... however after flipping through the Princess Cruise Answer Book and in the beverages section it has a list of the alcohol by the bottle. The prices are really cheap, only a few bucks cheaper that the liquor store. Are these bottles you can order to your stateroom or how does this work? cherylandtk Posted February 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Yes, you can either order those in advance as a gift to yourself, or go to the designated bar on board and get the same bottle for a couple dollars less. Same low price via room service onboard, but you will tip the delivery guy a couple dollars. This bottle is for making drinks in your room. Mixed drinks from a bar will be priced at the going rate, but there really is no need to smuggle liquor onboard on Princess.
slf200 Posted February 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2006 You can buy bottles for your stateroom but they are expensive ($20 for cheap rum). The prices you may be seeing is for duty free purchase but they don't deliver them until the end of the cruise. I believe that you may bring wine and beer aboard with you. Just stuff a couple of carry-ons. Hard liquor isn't allowed. Princess reamed me on prices???
