Alcohol?

I heard that alcoholic beverages onboard were pretty pricey... however after flipping through the Princess Cruise Answer Book and in the beverages section it has a list of the alcohol by the bottle. The prices are really cheap, only a few bucks cheaper that the liquor store. Are these bottles you can order to your stateroom or how does this work?

Yes, you can either order those in advance as a gift to yourself, or go to the designated bar on board and get the same bottle for a couple dollars less. Same low price via room service onboard, but you will tip the delivery guy a couple dollars. This bottle is for making drinks in your room. Mixed drinks from a bar will be priced at the going rate, but there really is no need to smuggle liquor onboard on Princess.

You can buy bottles for your stateroom but they are expensive ($20 for cheap rum). The prices you may be seeing is for duty free purchase but they don't deliver them until the end of the cruise.

 

I believe that you may bring wine and beer aboard with you. Just stuff a couple of carry-ons. Hard liquor isn't allowed.
