Antarctic Experience

You might also look at the two new National Geographic/Lindblad ships, which look pretty nice compared to their older expedition ships. They probably don't deliver the same level of luxury Seabourn aims for, but for an Antartica cruise, they might be worth consideration.

The snub-nosed NG Endurance is alongside in Ushuaia today, the first cruise ship I have seen there for 18 months or so.  According to the Lindblad website, they will be broadcasting live for US TV from tomorrow from Antarctica -

We have narrowed our choices for February 2023 to Seabourn Venture and Viking Octantis.  Seabourn has the price advantage by six thousand dollars (plus larger suite) but Viking includes kayak and submarine experiences and is one day longer, cruising Cape Horn.  I have no experience with either.  Leaning towards Seabourn due to price and number of passengers (Viking is high 300s).  Any strong reason to continue to consider Viking?
