New Requirements effective Aug. 4 for Carnival

 Share

Recommended Posts

Just got an email from Carnival saying  that all cruises leaving on Aug. 4 and thereafter that ALL passengers, whether vaccinated or not will be required to submit a PCR OR ANTIGEN TEST done no more than 72 hours before departure.

We are on the Breeze Aug. 21 out of Galveston.

I called and evidently, the passengers are stuck with this additional charge.

Here in OKC, a PCR test is $200 and an Antigen test is $69.

I  would just as soon cancel  although my wife and I are fully vaccinated, but we do not want to be exposed to the recent surge in the Delta variant at our

advanced ages of 75 and 70.

I hope Carnival handles this in a fair manner and lets us have the option of cancelling or putting that money on a future cruise.

Jerry

Effective with cruises departing on Saturday, August 14, 2021, we will require ALL fully vaccinated guests to produce a negative viral COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within 3 days of their embarkation on all Carnival Cruise Line sailings.
