happytalk44 Posted August 4, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2021 I have 2 questions that will probably offend some. Please forgive but they are important to me. 1) Can nice jeans be worn in the dining room on America? We have a traveling/packing issue for our Oct cruise on the Mississippi and I need to organize. 2) Can Anyone tell me where the smoking area is? (Just go with it! 🙂 )
dfb Posted August 5, 2021 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2021 1. The ACL cruises we've been on have been very casual and we eventually found there was no need to change clothes for dinner in the evening. I guess it depends on how much wear and tear the day provided. I think you should be fine if you are bringing a dinner designated pair of nice jeans. 2. I know you can't smoke inside anywhere or on your balcony. Other than that each ship has designated smoking areas but I don't know where. All the ships are small so it should be difficult to find your spot.
Treasure Hunter Posted August 6, 2021 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2021 Dining is very informal. I don’t think anyone changed unless they felt dirty. I didn’t see anyone smoking on our Song Columbia trip. The ship is very small and we were all concerned about covid.

Hopefully you can manage to light up downwind of your fellow passengers.
