"Drinks on us "

We have noticed that the service gets slower towards the last couple of days of a cruise.  That's because more and more people are hitting that mark where they get free drinks while playing.  On our last 8 day cruise, by day 6, it took forever to get waited on.  If you did get your order in, it sometimes took a half hour before you saw your drink.  And to make it worse, unknown to us, it turned out to be a Premium cruise where so many people already had the DOU to begin with.

It depends on the offer. This time we have rate code O4M. I don't drink most of the time, but will have a White Russian while playing slots. Here is a snap of the current offer for this cruise. I do however drink a lot of soda. I gamble a LOT. My husband doesn't so he doesnt get offers. I take a set amount and when it is gone it's gone. But I get offers at Casinos all over the place.

Like you, I am a degenerate gambler, I get offers from everyone everywhere. I think I could book a trip somewhere every week as long as my bankroll could keep up...LOL

Right now, I have pretty much any cruise we want, anywhere, for $100pp + tax, tag, title.

I never really have worried about the drink thing, because I don't drink, but have found in the past that usually after a couple hours on night 1, some host is handing me a drink pass. I just want one for sodas, but now I want it for the coffee and milkshakes too.

We keep wondering how many of these $100pp deals we could book before it cuts us off?

We have the " drinks on us " while playing in the casino . Do we have to do anything to get these or just be playing in the casino when we order ?

those free drinks will cost you hundreds of dollars while you wait for them to be delivered. if you wenrt going to play anyway   then this isnt for you.

Update . We did not have to do anything to get the drinks on us (no card ) . We did however check with one of  the casino hosts and he informed us that I was the only one eligible .My wife did however qualify for it later on and received it for the second part of our b2b. Service was good for us as we are not big drinkers and never had a problem getting one . A tip is if you don't see a server , grab one of the casino people as they go by and ask them , they will hunt one down.

Its been a few years since we've cruised, what does a beer cost now? or normal mixed drink?

and is it still 15% gratuity with each drink?

Gratuity is now 18%.  I don't know off hand the price of beer, but I know it has increased since I last cruised at the end of 2018.

We had drinks on us package for while in casio but must be gambling. In our cabin we got paper saying it was linked to our sign and sail card so we didn't need anything different.

Problem was getting a server to come by sooner than an hour at a time. Order a drink and get it 30 minutes later. I would have saved money gambling just by stopping playing and go buy my own drinks. We were on Elation and it's got a small casino with smoking. You'd get smoked out before getting a drink order. Fee weeks ago on Mardi Gras they had 2 separate casino sides (smoking versus non). The serves were quick to get your order and to return with drink. Much better experience depending on the boat and staff.
