Is it easy to walk on and off the ship?

My initial post was not well written.  I was not asking about the difficulty of physically walking ont to the ship.  (I'm 60 and in pretty good shape, so I can negotiate gangplanks, etc.)  I was more concerned about the time involved in getting in and out of the ship.  One poster noted that you have to go through a metal detector each time, and that could be a hassle.

As long as you aren’t tendering it takes no time to get off the ship. (If you are tendering you have to wait for your tender number / shore excursion to be called so there is a wait).

If you arrive at the same time as a lot of people then boarding can take a few minutes.  It’s usually only a few minutes though.

 

And, yes each time you board the ship, your jacket and anything you are carrying goes through the x-ray machine and you walk through the scanner.  It takes no time at all.
