Casino Comp Chick Posted August 27, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2021 Does Virgin accept the emed Abbot self test for Covid-19? I am fully vaccinated. I cannot find anything on the website. If someone has a link, even better. Thanks in advance.
sarakenny Posted August 27, 2021 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2021 You need to bring your vaccination card with you. From what I'm understanding, they will do a Covid test prior to boarding at the port. There's nothing in the pre-embarkation info or health info that says you need a Covid test prior to arriving at the port. That being said, rules with Covid change constantly so I'd keep an eye on the app (as will I) in the pre-embarkation section. Hope you have a wonderful cruise! britincanada Posted August 27, 2021 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2021 When are you sailing? For the Virgin staycation cruises that have sailed in the UK over the last few weeks testing was done at the port prior to boarding. Self tests are often not accepted for travel as they are not observed, so the person requiring the test to travel may not be the one actually taking the test. For example, to enter the USA you have to have a test that has been supervised by tele health or in person.
