Thanks all for your responses and suggestions re luggage labels, very much appreciated. I have just remembered I bought some clear plastic luggage label holders a couple of years ago. They are ideal and fit very securely. Nearly two years since we last cruised and I am out of practice!!!

Cover them in Sellotape, stiffens them nicely.
